The Death of the Stick Figure is a series of experimental works that challenges how bodies are represented in motion capture systems. For this, I created customised skeletons and rigged them in different geometries open to various associations. This rethinking of the skeleton is a question of power, of data authorship, of the normativity of the captured and represented bodies in digital realms. Ultimately, it is a celebration of the performing body and a search for alternative meanings in contemporary visual imagery.
